Takaki KANEKO was born in Tokyo, and studied at the “Music High school of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music” (in Japan), and graduated from the department of music at the same university. After studying at the “Imola International Piano Academy” (in Italy), he graduated with a master’s degree from the “University of Salzburg Mozarteum (in Austria).

He has studied under Hiroshi Kurokawa, Takako Horie, Katsumi Ueda, Kenji Watanabe, Nana Hamaguchi, Piero Rattalino, Leonid Margarius, Peter Feuchtwanger and Peter Lang.

He had master classes with internationally some internationally renowned musicians such as: Michel Béroff, Jörg Demus, Sergei Dorensky, Alexander Jenner, Piotr Paleczny, Sergio Perticaroli, Gyorgy Sandor, Joaquin Soriano and Vladimir Tropp at the “Hamamatsu International Piano Academy” (in Japan), at the “Salzburg International Summer Academy” (in Austria), he had privete consultations with very well-respected concert pianists, musicians and professors such as Bruno Leonald Gelber, Hans Kann, Hiroko Nakamura and Jacques Rouvier.

He has an honor diploma from “The 46th Maria Canals International Music Competition (Barcelona) in 2000, and was finalist of The 1st Japan Tchaikovsky Competition (Tokyo) in 2002.

He has performed in Japan and Europe: Rovereto, Stresa and Venice (in Italy), Salzburg and Vienna (in Austria), and Tokyo (in Japan). He has also played in many European cities both as solo recitals and with major orchestras such as the Salzburg Mozarteum Orchestra in the Grosser Saal (Great Hall) of the Mozaretum in Salzburg.

He has begun recital series since 2011 as part of the “Bach plus Chopin” series, which have included workss by J.S.Bach and F.Chopin. He had also performed all 6 Partitas (BWV825-830) by J.S.Bach in 2013.
